Magnetic name tags 342341/8/2024 * **Steel**: Terastallizing into a Steel-type stops Amoonguss from clearing its boosts with Clear Smog and makes Garganacl a decent check to Fairy-types such as offensive Mimikyu and Substitute + Calm Mind Flutter Mane. * **Flying**: A Flying typing lets Garganacl take on formerly super effective attacks such as Earthquake and Close Combat while making it a reasonable check to most Breloom. * Fissure severely punishes passive play against Garganacl, at the cost of forcing it to rely on Salt Cure residual damage against offensive teams. * Body Press is the best option for consistency against offensive teams. * With Purifying Salt making it immune to status and Salt Cure providing useful chip damage, especially against Water- and Steel-types, Garganacl is a dangerous defensive setup Pokemon. Item: Sitrus Berry / Figy Berry / Leftovers Here's Garganacl's current onsite analysis, to give you an idea of this stuff in action! Otherwise, those tend to be pretty obvious, and don't need any writing at all!įor Pokemon that have choices in other areas to make, these sections can also be included!ĭon't forget the credits! How they work is: when you go to a user's profile, notice the number at the end of the address bar: that's the number you gotta put in! * **252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe with Careful**: Generally, only list 252 / 252 spreads if the Pokemon has multiple EV builds. * **252 HP / 84 Def / 172 SpD with Careful**: If a Pokemon has a rather non obvious EV spread, explaining it is generally worth it! Sometimes, QC might ask you to include these without slashing them in the set. * **Fighting**: Some Pokemon have a LOT of viable tera options, including more niche ones to consider. * **Fire**: Even if a Pokemon isn't getting at Tersastallizing, most Pokemon will still want this section, just because the nature of the mechanic can lead to weird situations happening in a match. * **Flying**: Except to see this one a LOT! Tera Types are very important in this metagame, so almost every Pokemon will have this section, especially if the tera type is not baked into the set such as "Normal Dragonite for Extreme Speed" kind of stuff. When you got other options to explain, give them specialized sections so players can make the decision themselves! For example if Ice Punch lets this Pokemon cover Dragonite, while Fire Punch beats Breloom, that is worth mentioning. * Move choices can be worth a bullet too. Only mention them if its something that isn't self explanatory! No reason to say "use High Jump Kick and Dynamax Cannon for STAB". * If a move is obvious, there's no reason to give it a bullet. * Use the first bullet for the most important part: quickly explain the main selling point of this set! With Series 1 being rather short, we're doing shorter analyses with a different format than you may be used to! Below, here's a "sample" analysis, and the actual onsite Garganacl analysis below it!
